Life at Casa Hogar Alegre is full of learning, growth, and joy. Here’s what a typical day looks like for our children in Chiapas.

  • Welcome to our home, Casa Hogar Alegre. Although we all come from different backgrounds, we're a family!

  • The weather here is often really nice, and we love having visitors stay with us during the week!

  • Every day starts with cleaning up and going to breakfast. There's yummy food waiting for us in the cafeteria!

  • After that, its off to learn! School is from 8:00am to 2:00pm. All our teachers are amazing!

  • We learn all kinds of things in school. Our teachers always do their best to help us out if we're struggling with something!

  • Thanks to donations and visitors like you, we can have books, school supplies, and a great education!

  • Lunch Time! Look at how much we food we eat! Lots of healthy food to grow big and strong!

  • Lunch was great! Now it's time to finish up the rest of our classes before we can go out and play!

  • After lunch, we finish up a couple of things at school, assignments, and get out at 2:00pm!

  • Our favorite hour - time for fun! We also have recreational activities, some guided tours and also free play time.

  • When there are visitors, sometimes we get to go out with them on fun adventures around town and parks!

  • But we still have just as much fun if we get to play at home! We play great games and everybody is kind!

  • There's all sorts of fun activities that we do! We get to spend time making new friends and trying new things!

  • After a busy day of school and activities, it’s time for dinner, a bath, and soon enough, bed time!

  • And that's our day! We hope you get a chance to come see us again! It's always a great time at Casa Hogar Alegre!

We also have other activities and while they are not part of our daily routine, we take advantage of educational moments outside of the classroom.  These activities can be of a cultural, educational, recreational nature, but always with the aim of providing knowledge and values to the children.

We organize many of them internally, but on occasion, visitors or groups from outside also come to spend time with the children.
