The story of Casa Hogar Alegre began when Mama Liz was just 13 years old. Her family moved from Pachuca, Hidalgo to Tuxtla Gutiérrez, Chiapas, after her father — a devoted Christian missionary — felt called to bring God’s word to this region. That step of faith planted the seeds for what would later become a home of love and hope for children.
Volunteer Groups
You can make a difference by volunteering at Casa Hogar Alegre. We welcome mission teams and volunteers from around the world to prepare activities and lessons for our children. Together, you can play games, teach values and build lasting friendships. Many groups also help with projects like painting, gardening, or carpentry. Every visit is a life-changing experience — for our children and for the volunteers themselves.
